Baseball Has My Heart
Welcome to my baseball blog!
The first baseball game I ever went to was an Oakland A’s game back in the 1980s. I thought the A’s were so cool with the “Bash Brothers”, made up of Mark McGuire and Jose Canseco. As much fun as that was, I still ended up growing up to become a fan of the San Francisco Giants. The 1989 World Series was one my family anticipated greatly, but will always be remembered for reasons other than baseball.
I have followed and rooted for the Giants for longer than I can remember. I’ve been with them through the bad times and good times. I felt the agony and heartbreak of losing a Game 7 in the World Series in 2002 and stuck with them as the team went through a rebuild not long after that. I felt the immense joy of winning the World Series, not just once, but three times in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Living in Kansas City now, I still catch grief about the Bumgarner series in 2014. I look forward to the day when the Giants can win the World Series again and bring joy to all the Giants fans around the globe.
On this page I will post my thoughts and opinions on my favorite baseball teams. To be honest, it will probably be mostly about the San Francisco Giants as I have been a fan of them my whole life. I will also write some about the Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals as well. If there is something major that happens in the league, I will more than likely share my thoughts about that here also. The one team I will probably write the least about is those bums from Los Angeles, California. I will always be “Forever Giant”!
